Prof. Ini Urua

Dr. Ini Urua was a Director at Africa Finance Corporation and Head of Country Relations. Previously, he was a Senior Vice President and Head of Heavy Industries and Telecoms of Africa Finance Corporation. He is now retired.
He served as Division Manager in African Development Bank Group in charge of development of multi-country infrastructure projects and programs across Africa. He was the Chief Architect of the NEPAD and Regional Infrastructure program. He worked for more than a decade with BOC Group PLC, a world-renowned industrial gases company in England, in Process Development and Design, Technology Marketing and Management, Strategic Planning, and Technology Transfer. Ini has served on the Boards of a number of Companies. Ini has published papers and made numerous contributions in process development, process engineering, and in infrastructure development in Africa.
Ini is widely travelled. He has travelled to, and worked in, nearly all the countries of Africa, through Europe, across North America and through Asia, and South East Asia. Ini holds a honours bachelors degree (1^st Class honours) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Ife, Nigeria, a Masters and Doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, London and an MBA in International Business Management from the European Business School, Paris. He is a member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers, UK, and a Chartered and Registered Engineer in England and Wales.
